Vision The Vision of the Department of English is to develop it as an academic excellence centre through mentoring the rural and urban students with meticulous teaching and extensive co-curricular activities that enhance the literary sensibility, critical thinking, and communicative competency in English.

Mission The Mission of the Department of English is to offer an Under Graduate Course in English to the students belonging to diverse backgrounds from the surrounding rural areas as well as others who keep keen interest in English studies. It strives to shape the personality of the students as rational and responsible human beings in the society. It aims to help the students to build the knowledge of the content and methods in literary studies. The Department shall also aims to contribute in enriching the communicative competence of all the Under Graduate Courses offered in the college through the Foundation Courses in English Language.
